My latest M42, the Great Orion Nebula

Extra work and exposure added to this image of M42, I wanted to keep some detail in the Trapezium area. This image is the result of recently obtained exposures, plus all the others I've previously obtained and posted on this blog.

80 mm refractor, 3 1/2" extension tube, Astronomik CLS filter and a standard Canon 10D DSLR.
Stacked and aligned in Nebulosity and finished in Photoshop CS3.
8 x 5 seconds, 37 x 30 seconds, 42 x 40 seconds and 12 x 120 seconds sub-exposures.
